I’ve been working with clay seriously for around five years. I prefer stoneware, making mainly sculptural pieces. I’m particularly taken with 20th century studio pottery to the present. My pieces are hand built – coiled and slab – and being mainly sculptural are detached from use – whilst referencing the functional history of ceramics.
